The Inspection Manual is required to issue the warranty at job completion. Should the completed job meet the standards set out in the inspection manual, a warranty will be issued. The Contractor is then obligated to return and re-inspect after two years. Historically, if a minor deficiency is found within two years, then the chance of a major failure can be reduced for the 3-20 year range. Then there is a final inspection before the 5 year warranty is up, usually after 4 years.
